This season Penfield have worked with Jamieson's of Shetland to produce the Gillman Jacket and Vest for Him and for Her, using a familiar Penfield block to which a classic Fair Isle Knitted Yoke was added to create a new unique style.



As a family owned business which has specialized in wool from the native Shetland sheep for five generations, the Jamieson's were among the first to harness computerized knitting technology alongside the traditional spinning stages of grading, scouring and dyeing fleece before color blending, twisting and balling their 100% pure Shetland yarn.

This combination allows the highly complex traditional Fair Isle patterns to be re-created in an increasing range of both traditional and vibrant contemporary colors.

The Gillman jacket and Gillman vest come in both navy and black with six antique copper snap placket, premium 80/20 down, leather trimmed cuffs and the Jamieson's 100% Shetland wool featuring on the shoulder yoke and pockets.
