This season we have teamed up with London-based retailer Garbstore to present a limited-edition down vest based on an original life preserver from the 1930’s. Debuting as part of Garbstore’s Fall / Winter 2010 collection entitled “The Road Below,” the Penfield for Garbstore vests are another special project added to Penfield’s long-standing history of innovative and prestigious collaborations.
A modern interpretation of the vintage toggle-fasten life preservers once commonly used in civilian lifeboats, the vest is constructed from Penfield’s own Hudson Wax Cloth for extra protection against wind and rain. Features include a double duffle-toggle front, two reverse-opening zippered pockets and a leather hang loop. The vest is available in two colorways, deep red or black.
