Designed exclusively for Barneys New York, our latest collaboration is distinctive yet refined, a fitting range for this iconic department store.

Our classic Hoosac Parka has been redesigned with a vibrant burnt orange colorway and has been fabricated in our 70/30 cotton/nylon blend to give a soft, peached feel.

The rich burgundy of The Gillman Vest is the perfect complement to the vivid tones of the Fair-Isle yoke.

Also including variations on our Fullerton Suiting Jacket and the Stapleton Tweed Vest, the line is only available at Barneys New York or through their website.

After the success of our recent collaborations with Gitman Bros. and Garbstore, we are very proud to announce that we have teamed up once again with 2010 CFDA Menswear Designers of the Year rag & bone for a brand new, limited edition set of two men’s winter coats and a women’s down jacket for Holiday 2010. This collaboration follows last year’s successful partnership between both brands.

FOR HIM...

Based on our classic Rockford silhouette, the Penfield for rag & bone Mallory down jacket comes in two colorways, with updated fabrication and subtle design details created to complement and combine both brands’ distinctive, rugged aesthetic. The Mallory is available in black thornproof wool with a contrast corduroy shoulder yoke in black and in deep khaki with a dark olive corduroy shoulder yoke. Both jackets feature brown plaid interior lining, two traditionally shaped front chest pockets, two lower welt pockets and custom co-branding on the inside.

The Penfield for rag & bone men’s jackets will hit stores in late November and will retail for $695.

Both men’s Mallory jackets will be available at all rag & bone New York City boutiques, the rag & bone Japanese flagship in Tokyo, Colette in Paris, as well as online at Oki-Ni. The Mallory in black can also be purchased at Barneys and Nordstrom in the US, Harrods in London and Bleecker in Seoul, while the deep khaki colorway is available at select Saks Fifth Avenue locations in the US.

Based on our Women's Stapleton silhouette, the Penfield for rag & bone women’s down jacket features zip-off sleeves for easy conversion into a classic puffer vest. With a hearty, charcoal Schoeller wool exterior and a soft brown plaid interior lining, the jacket is a perfect mix of the practical, stylish outerwear for which Penfield is famous and rag & bone’s signature emphasis on clean tailoring and classic yet modern sportswear. The jacket also features a contrast olive corduroy shoulder yoke, two front chest pockets, two zippered lower welt pockets and custom interior co-branding.

Spotted: our Stapleton Tan jacket in "It's Kind Of A Funny Story", the new comedy–drama from acclaimed writer/directors Ryan Fleck & Anna Boden, adapted from Ned Vizzini’s 2006 novel of the same name and starring Keir Gilchrist (here in the picture), Zach Galifianakis (recently seen in "The Hangover" among others) and Emma Roberts.

What’s a 16 year old boy doing playing music and table tennis with adult psychiatric patients – on a school day? It’s kind of a funny story... “It’s Kind of a Funny Story.”

Anchored by a versatile mix of staple and heritage silhouettes, including the instantly-recognizable Stapleton, Rockford and Kasson styles, our Fall/Winter 2010 Collection is our most comprehensive line to date; we are very proud to announce that it also marks our 35th Anniversary as an authentic outdoor apparel brand.

This collection is brought together by a classic autumnal color palette and several signature fabric stories by way of Penfield Tweed and Hudson Wax Cloth, a woven poly-cotton blend with a dry wax impregnation that is not only windproof, but water-repellent, as well.

With the addition of the brand new Hoosac expedition parka, Foxcroft and Lakeville mountain jackets among others, our Fall/Winter 2010 range of outerwear spans many styles and functions, alongside knits, shirts, pants and accessories, all of which maintain our original design statement: “For Life in the Open.”

This season also sees an expansion of our three main collections, including a Black Bear line emphasizing contemporary design and technical innovation and new styles added to both Penfield Trailwear and Classic collections.
